We've got big news! Family-owned removals business, Mr O Removals, has won a highly commended award at the East of England Small Business Awards this April.
The Tiptree business walked away with the Family Business Award after gaining countless 5-star reviews and happy customers.
Mr O Removals has been a loyal TrustATrader member for the last 10 years and has continuously gone above and beyond, ensuring the highest standards up and down the country.
We caught up with Mr. O Removals for a quick Q&A on their award and how it feels to be a TrustATrader member:
1. Congratulations on your Highly Commended award! What does this recognition mean to you and your team at Mr O Removals?
We recently attended a special awards event, and winning the Highly Commended Family Business Award at the East of England Small Business Awards was an amazing achievement! We are so proud to celebrate our family business and our dedicated team, and we will look forward to many more years providing a truly professional moving service.
2. Could you tell us a bit about how the business started and what inspired you to get into the removals industry?
The business has been established since 2012, started by Richard who was so inspired by watching The Apprentice, he purchased his first van! The business grew from strength to strength, gaining more and more 5 star reviews along the way.
Thirteen years later, together, we have grown a professional, friendly and competent removals company with a team of dedicated staff and a fleet of vans. Over the years we have raised money for charities, won numerous awards and are long-standing members of Trust a Trader and Move Assured.
We are on a mission to prove that within the removals industry, a professional and friendly service can always be provided.
3. What do you think sets Mr O Removals apart from others in the area, and how important has customer feedback been to your success?
In our company we provide a very personal service. We are a family-run business, so when you contact us, you will speak directly to me (Louise), and Richard will visit for a quote, and will be on the majority of the moves too. We have a dedicated team of staff that have been with us for many years.
With regards to receiving positive reviews online, this has been the making of building our business from scratch.
4. As a long-standing member of TrustATrader, how has the platform supported your business growth and helped build trust with new clients?
By being members of Trust a Trader for many years, we have found that our customers are very impressed with the quality of the reviews. We are proud to present our reviews, and potential customers can rest assured that this is on a platform that is verified and professional. We are very happy with being members of Trust a Trader, and will continue to be for many years!
5. What’s one of the most memorable moves you've been part of, and what do you enjoy most about what you do?
A few years ago we moved a mansion! It took 9 days, involved 21 Luton vans and 2 smaller vans worth of belongings! Some of the items included a four-poster bed, a 7ft Grand Piano, over 50 pieces of valuable artwork, antique furniture, a snooker table and a jukebox (which had to be lifted out of the basement through a secret hatch in the floor!).
All antique clocks, along with the Grand Piano and four-poster bed needed to be taken apart and wrapped. Our team did an amazing job on this very challenging move!
Richard and I particularly enjoy being a part of the customer's moving journey. Whether people are upsizing, downsizing, moving long-distance or going into a retirement home, everyone has a different story, and we enjoy helping people from the beginning to when they are settled in their new homes.
