Junior - Image 1 "Thay said the work was weather permitting but never turned up on the suny dry day and when they did arrive it was well past midday hence the scaffolding was up for 3 months. I asked the trader about the work he said that's what I had agreed to. We've had 2 independent surveyors look at the roof and said it all need to be removed there's holes and gaps from in the loft you can see outside because of the mess thay made and now the roof is leaking. When I asked them to finish up and leave the job suddenly some work was done and not to a go standard cigarette butt's and mess were also left. I would not recommend them."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us. We value your comments as customer service is our priority. Work was started on the 14th January14/1/2025, arrived at 9.30 am due to noisy work cutting concrete gutters off, work subject to weather conditions. At the start customer was advised that roof was at end of life and needed a reroof and ridge tiles. A report and quote dated 17/1/2025 was given for a reroof and rebed of ridge tiles. The customer declined and said would do later as had no extra funds The roof was leaking through the ridge tiles and the broken ones. Water was running down felt but no felt on the last 600 mm at eaves water entering property and not clearing from felt into gutter. The customer had additional work on the lower roof done, verge board facia soffit vents gutters. We worked until the customer asked us to finish in front of the property as she could not have people coming to the house while we were working. After finishing work, we left all materials they paid for at the rear of the house and cleaned all rubbish away. I am not sure where the cigarette butts came from. Partner knew and was shown exactly what was wrong with roof and ridges, we had to repair extra on eaves so we could redo the facials and gutters he was fully aware, and he was amazed at the amount of bird’s nest in the lower roof space. Scaffolding was arranged by customer and scaffolding company nothing to do with us gave customer 2 different companies phone numbers to arrange. "Work carried out by this trader was to a high standard. Unfortunately, despite asking at least forty times for an invoice I am still waiting for an invoice so I can claim from my insurance company as the repair carried out was the result of storm damage. I paid Mr Cleaver by bank transfer the day after the work was completed so would at least expect to have a receipt or invoice from him."

Ken Roper - Image 1 2 images Ken Roper - Image 2 "This trader left my roof exposed to the elements during a rainstorm causing my bathroom ceiling to collapse, left bricks out of the gable end, failed to put vents in the roof as requested, a four day job took four weeks, scaffolding up for six, failed regularly to turn up when agreed, often put in a four hour day before clearing off early, I've had to call in another tradesmen to put right the damage he caused. Would not recommend this trader."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us. We value your comments as customer service is our priority. We were asked by this customer to complete a re-roof using their own tiles and to take the chimney down as they were having leaks in the bathroom and other parts of the roof from previous work by another trader. We did not quote for vents as we used breathable membrane so this would not be required. The re-roof took approximately 3 weeks, the scaffolding is subcontracted and was put up a week before as we requested. When the scaffolding company take it down Is out of our hands. I can provide Pictures with dates that will show the missing bricks from the gable were from the previous traders work and had nothing to do with the re-roof we have provided. As a good will gesture we blocked the hole that was left from the customer falling through due to previous work they had carried out and made it good, so there was no draft while waiting for the plasterer.
