At Michael Durance we have been providing carpentry and joinery services to customers for many years. As craftsmen with in-depth knowledge of our trade, we use a combination of traditional and modern methods to help each customer to achieve the finish they desire without compromising on quality.
We believe that all joinery should be done to the highest standards, whether it’s a feature staircase or hanging a door. To this end, we conduct a consultation with each prospective customer so that we can accurately gauge their expectations, desired functionality, timescale and budget. This allows us to advise each customer of the best course of action based on their needs and helps us to achieve high rates of customer satisfaction for our bespoke carpentry.

"Mike and Brian did an excellent job of replacing our old Edwardian sash windows. The new windows are beautifully crafted and completely in keeping with the age and style of the house. Their knowledge and professionalism was extremely reassuring, especially during (what seemed to us), quite a daunting job. They were punctual, courteous, and scrupulous in tidying up after themselves. We're really glad we found them and highly recommend their work."

"We have used the services of Mike and his work colleague Brian for over 20 years now on numerous building projects in our house in Southsea. We have always been very happy with their standards , they go out of their way to problem solve and not just accept anything other than a quality finish to the project. I have recommended them to a number of friends of mine who have used them and also have been very happy about the quality and finish. They are always punctual and get straight on with their work never disappearing to other projects elsewhere"
